Braided Cable Fingerless Mitts

Well, I'm fresh out of ideas as to how to get this pattern onto the web without setting up a website - and I have zero time for that!

So, I'm gonna try pasting it here from Word:

Braided Cable Fingerless Mitts

Size
Small - hand with an 18cm circumference

Materials

Yarn: Atacama 100% Alpaca
Needles: A set of double pointed needles in sizes 3.25mm and 3.75mm

Tension
24sts to 10cm on 3.75mm

Abbreviations
m1 = make one stitch by putting your needle under the bar that lies between stitches, twist it (to avoid making a hole), and knit it.
C3F = place the next three sts onto a cable needle; hold at front of work, k3, then k3 from cable needle.
C3B = place the next three sts onto a cable needle; hold at back of work, k3, then k3 from cable needle.

Left Hand Mitt

Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 44 sts and join for knitting in the round. Place a marker (PM) at the beginning of the round.

Work 3 inches (22 rows) of k2, p2 rib.

Change to 3.75mm needles.

Row 23-27: K14, P3, K9, P3, K15. Repeat this round 5 times.

Start Braid Cable Pattern:

Row 1: K14, P3, C3F, K3, P3, K15.
Row 2: Work all stitches as they lie (purl the purls, knit the knits).
Row 3: K14, P3, K3, C3B, P3, K15.
Row 4: As row 2.

These four rounds form the braid cable pattern (cabling every other round). Continue in this manner until there are about 2 inches of work (8 more rows).

Gusset:

Row 13: K6, M1, K1, M1, patt to end.
Row 14: Work all stitches as they lie.Row 15: K6, M1, K3, M1, patt to end.

Continue in this manner until you have increased 8 times (ending with M1, K15, M1) (15 rows).

Row 28: Knit to the gusset sts. Transfer 16 sts to waste yarn. Knit over the gap created by the gusset, leaving a hole for the thumb. Patt to end of row.

Row 29-32: Continue in cable braid pattern for 4 more rows.

Row 33-41: Change to 3.25mm needles and k2, p2 ribbing (stopping the cable) for 8 rounds.

Bind off in rib using 3.75mm needles.Thumb:

Using 3.75mm needles slip 16 stitches from st holder onto dpn needles (6, 6, 4). Pick up 3 sts at the point where the gap was created at the end of the gusset. Place a marker (PM) for the beginning of the round.

Row 1-4: Work in stockinette for 4 rows.

Row 5: With 3.25mm needles, k1,p1 rib to the last st. Slip this st from the needle in your left hand to the needle in your right hand, and k2tog.

Row 6-9: Work 4 rows of k1, p1 rib.

Bind off in rib using 3.75mm needles.

Right Hand Mitt

Work as for left, but begin thumb increases 7 stitches AFTER the 3 purls at the end of the braid cable sequence. That way the thumb will be on the correct side!

Finishing

Darn in any loose ends, making sure to neaten any holes that may be visible near the top of the gusset.
