Sunday, 7th December, 3:30pm. Thought I'd ramble a little in my blog since I don't know if I'll get the chance again before 2009.
Three sleeps to go before I start my epic journey to Australia. Jazz Airlines leaves London at 12:00 noon on Wednesday 10th December. Air Canada leaves Toronto at 8:30pm the same night. Air Canada leaves Vancouver at 2:00am on Thursday 11th December. Qantas leaves Sydney at 12:00 noon on Friday 12th December and lands in Brisbane just 1.5 hours later.
ARE WE THERE YET?
I think I have window seats all the way - that is if the booking agent actually booked the seats like she always says she does, but never seems to get right....

And now, time for a prayer: "please dear Lord, if you're listening (which you don't often do) [just sayin...] pleeeeeease allow me at least one window seat from Vancouver to Sydney". Amen.
I'm totally excited about seeing my family and friends. I know it's only been a year since I was last there, but so much happens in a year! I swear the older we get, the fast time flies, and the more we seem to pack into a year.
My family's totally excited about my trip too. My three nieces are delighted - personally I think they are more excited about the pressies I bring!
I haven't really started packing yet, although I have got a few things laid out on the spare bed. And yesterday I did climb to the top of my linen cupboards to lift down my suitcases.
I finished all my Christmas knitting last week, and since then I've been doing some "fill in knitting". I made some lovely thrum mittens:

And I'm working on a Lacy Scarf Knit Kit from Alpaca Acres, Stratford. This is going to be a last minute gift...you know...the just in case gift:

And lastly, I'm working on my Faeroe Island Mittens again:

I doubt I'll get time to blog again before I leave, so I'll just wish myself BON VOYAGE and fly off into the warmth! Ohhhh yeah!
